Senior Buyer - Birmingham Central - £40k - 6 Months Contract with strong permanent possibilities
Our client is a leading service provider supplying a variety of industry sectors across the UK and has been established for over 50 years, this firm is a true market leader in their field. They are now looking for a Senior Buyer to join their UK team.
The Senior Buyer Role
The role reports into the Head of Procurement and Procurement Manager. It sits alongside 2 other senior buyers, a procurement process coordinator and 2 support team members.
You will set-up the most efficient process to deliver the users procurement needs (products and services, quantities and lead time) at the best Total Cost of Ownership. The responsibilities include, in particular, the management of the Sourcing and Spot Negotiation processes and the management of the Supplier Relationship on the allocated procurement categories.
The hours are 35 hours per week - 8am to 4pm/9am to 5pm but can be flexible to suit you.
Skills and Experience for the Role of SeniorBuyer
The ideal candidate would come from a manufacturing/ Industrial/ Engineering organisation
- Ability to use Google sheets or Excel etc. to extract and process data
- Ability to build and communicate a strong business case
- Negotiation skills
- Functional Knowledge of procurement tools (SAP, Nepal/Bali)
- Degree educated advantageous
- Ideally procurement (Sourcing) experience of 5 years plus
- French (Level: Notion)
