A high- profile opportunity exists for a CIM/business qualified Business Development Manager with legal sector experience to take a lead role in supporting demanding growth objectives. With a remit to support the implementation of strategic initiatives to improve business generation from new & existing clients; develop & implement EMEA industry sector groups; maximise business development opportunities in cross-border investment flows within EMEA, Asia & USA and build an M&A/Corporate practice profile, you brief includes:
•Working with Partners & Directors to formulate & articulate London Corporate strategy
•Provide support on business development & communications to London Corporate practice on business development & marketing activity
•Supporting the drive to implement & develop a corporate business plan, associated marketing plans & identify key initiatives
•Developing, maintaining & retaining clients through targeted programs
•Assisting the drive to implement industry sector targeting programs across EMEA
•Working with EMEA Business Development & central Marketing teams in communications & thought leadership to create a targeted strategy to raise product & regional profile
•Leading on capability/marketing collateral & assisting with creation of EMEA-wide materials
•Supporting, pitching & winning business
•Identifying key topics & trends for input into PR & marketing Communications campaigns
•Managing relationships with legal directories & overseeing preparation of directory & award submissions
•Assessing cost & benefits of profile raising opportunities to ensure maximum benefit is realised
As a 2:1/1st class graduate with a CIM or business qualification, you will have a track record of business development and/or communications experience gained within a corporate Legal practice. Demonstrating strong influencing and negotiating skills at senior stakeholder level, with the ability to work across various functions and geographies, you will be a commercially-focused, proactive and enthusiastic individual.
