THE CLIENT

My client a forward-thinking, consultataive and vibrant law firm have a newly created opportunity for an experienced Senior Business Development Executive who is proactive and creative in their approach to deliver highly effective BD support to fee earners. Based within outstanding London offices the BD and Marcomms teams are a fast-paced and collaborative department who work closely with firm-wide Partners and fee earners, pride themselves on their innovative approach and are integral to the success of the firm.

This is a highly visible and wide ranging position and very much an advisory role requiring an experienced team player with in-depth knowledge and BD expertise who can present their ideas effectively. You will work with all stakeholders to proactively write practice group business plans, track client and industry news and trends to identifying and generate new and existing business to drive forward business development initiatives and support growth strategies. As such someone who understands the importance of qualifying opportunities that will generate profitable work along with the ability to build strong, collaborative internal relationships with key partners, fee earners and other firm-wide teams is essential!

Along with relevant experience from a Law, FinanProfessional Services the ideal candidate will have a successful proven track record with a thorough understanding of business development principles and will be able to demonstrate a sound commercial approach to fee generation.

THE PERSON, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Significant Senior Exec or BD Management experience in a similar environment

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent - Marketing qualification preferred (e.g. CIM).

  • Outstanding influencing and interpersonal skills

  • Strong planning/organisational skills, with a systematic approach to the work and an absolute attention to detail

  • Excellent team player who is curious with a willingness to develop and continue learning

  • Understanding of 'buyer behaviour’ and client experience management

  • Flexible and able to use own initiative

  • Bring creativity and flair to the role

  • Strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills

  • Ability to immediately win trust, influence and establish credibility at senior levels
