Senior Brand Manager – QUALITY STREET (9 to 12 month Fixed Term Contract)

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Brand Manager to work as part of the Nestlé Confectionery team working on our QUALITY STREET brand on a 9 to 12 month fixed term contract. This role will be based at our York office, home of Nestlé Confectionery and will report directly into the Marketing Manager for our Seasonal brands. What can you expect?
You will be responsible for the overall management of our QUALITY STREET Brand, defining brand strategy and building long-term plans to achieve our ambitions aligned with the wider company vision. Key elements of this role will see you be an ambassador for the brand whilst having the ability to energise and engage internal and external stakeholders; including Senior Leadership teams, direct reports, the Driver Market(s) and our agency partners.
Have the overall responsibility for the successful running of the brand including ATL, BTL and all digital activities.
Define and manage the yearly brand planning process and long-term brand ambition whilst playing a key role defining the wider European strategy for the brand.
Delivering engaging presentations and ‘sell in’ for the brand plans both internally (leadership/commercial teams) and externally (retailers).
Have a great awareness of the brand P&L and understand the part our QUALITY STREET brand play for the Confectionery business as a whole.
Deliver best in class NPD launch plans for the QUALITY STREET brand ensuring maximum launch impact and continued post evaluation.
Closely monitor industry and competitor activity, to ensure plans are maintained and adapted in a constantly changing, competitive FMCG environment.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of UK confectionery environment including media, trade, competition and consumer behaviour to identify marketing issues and opportunities
Provide great leadership direction to direct report(s) ensuring they receive support, guidance and most importantly you’ll foster an environment where they can truly be the best that they can be.
Who are we looking for?
To be successful in this role you will already have some fantastic marketing experience under your belt. Ideally you will already be operating at a Senior Brand Manager level within previous FMCG or Retail experience . You will be passionate, tenacious; results focused and enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment. Acting as an ambassador for the brand, you will have strong project management and analytical skills. You will need to be highly organised, conscientious and a team player. Pro-activity and enthusiasm are essential elements for this role as is proven leadership capability and creative thinking. You’ll also:
Have the ability to influence at senior levels both internally and externally.
Demonstrate strong presentation skills, targeting a wide audience from customers to internal stakeholders.
Be able to run sizable projects and work streams from concept to delivery.
Have prior knowledge of running multi-pronged communications programmes.
Be able to demonstrate your experience of leading major new product launches.
