The position is for a Full Time, Long Term Senior Behaviour Manager. The school is based in Newham, East London and has practical transport links from Central, North and East London.
The school are an all through Secondary School with a SEN Provision that caters for pupils with Autism and Complex Learning Difficulties in Ks3 and Ks4.
*Managing the provision for the behaviour management throughout the assessment unit
*Work closely with the head teacher, behaviour mentors and class teachers
*Provide individual pastoral support
*Asses the needs of pupils and use detailed knowledge and specialist skills to support pupils learning and positive behaviour development
*Establish constructive relationships with parents and carers including the exchanging of information and facilitating their support for their child's attendance
*Liaise with feeder schools and other relevant bodies to gather pupil information and compile necessary reports
You should have outstanding behaviour manager experience working within a special educational needs provision/school or a secondary school in the past. The school are looking for someone who can manage other mentors, the class teacher as well as working closely with the Head Teacher.
The school is in Waltham Forest, there is a good number of local transport services that run to the school including the Overground, Victoria and National Rail Trains to and from Tottenham Hale as well as buses. The school is based in the suburb of Waltham Forest and has a lot of green areas that the pupils usually use in the summer. The school are equipped with sensory rooms, communication products and lots of outdoor spaces for pupils.
The school is a Special Therapeutic Education Provision for boys and girls with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH) between the ages of 11 and 19 years. Based in Waltham Forest, the school is registered for up to 20 pupils on 1 specialist sites, of which 6 can be post 16 placements. The students either have an Education Health Care Plan (ECHP) or are undergoing statutory assessment. They have all been identified as having complex and additional needs.
The school deliver a holistic approach and bespoke timetable to each pupil supporting both their academic and emotional needs. The school provides therapy and pastoral support to all young people with regular assessment plans.
