Senior Automation Engineer - CONTRACT - Automation SME - Dublin

Real Staffing are hiring a Contract Automation Engineer for a 6-12 month assignment for a pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Dublin. The role focuses on supporting and optimising Manufacturing Control Systems, Operational Technology, and Machine Automation, while contributing to digitalisation and compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain automation systems to ensure uptime and performance.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions with vendor support.
• Support system patching, backups, and user access management.
• Lead and contribute to site automation and digitalisation projects.
• Create engineering deliverables including URS, FDS, SOPs, and test protocols.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, data integrity, and quality systems.

Technical Expertise:

• Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi (PLC, HMI, SCADA)
• i-Fix, Wonderware, Inmation (SCADA, Data Management)
• OPC, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus
• SQL databases, scripting languages
• Network architecture: TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, Firewalls, Active Directory
• GAMP software lifecycle, ANSI/ISA standards (88, 95, 101, 105, 106)
• 21 CFR Part 11 and Annex 11 compliance

Contract Details:

• Duration: 6-12 months
• Location: On-site (details available upon request)
• Start Date: December 2025
• Rate: EUR60-70 per hour (can go higher depending on experience)
