Senior Architectural Technician/Technologist

Salary and package between £35k and £40k dependant on skills and experience, with development within the Practice rewarded.

A well-established small RIBA Chartered Practice in Kent working throughout London and the South East in a variety of sectors, but specialising in residential projects. We pride ourselves in our personal approach, using creative design to offer innovative practical solutions, specifically tailored to the individual needs of every client and project. We offer a multi-skilled studio environment where each member of the team is able to challenge themselves and take an active role in all areas of a project and the Practice as an evolving business.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Architectural Technician/Technologist as part of the Practice's expansion and modernisation, which could provide an opportunity for genuine career progression for the right candidate.

The successful applicant should have the following qualities:

  • Be proficient in a variety of 2D and 3D drawing and presentation skills, including AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, SketchUp and hand drawing.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be a motivated inquisitive character, with a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Good organisation skills and the ability to multi-task within a team to meet strict deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of UK Planning, Building Regulations and up to date construction methods and materials.
  • Be comfortable leading a team and taking ownership of a project from start to finish.
  • Be confident in representing the Practice to a wide range of clients and consultants, understanding their individual needs.
  • Contract management experience is preferable
  • Most importantly have a genuine passion for design and innovative technical solutions.
