Senior Architectural Technician Rail
A unique Senior Architectural Technician role working within a multi-disciplinary design team
Your new company
A design and engineering market leader company specialising in initial, civil and structural architecture as well as building services. You would be using the latest technologies in Building Information Modelling (BIM) as well as be part of a leading UK construction and regeneration group with a revenue of c.£2.6 billion.
Your new role
You will be responsible for generating high quality, accurate and detailed design packages for the Architectural project documentation, working within a multi-disciplinary design team. You will contribute to the development and mentoring of junior staff, and the continual improvement of the CAD delivery processes within the department. In addition, you will be responsible for the quality and completion of drawn information for projects under their remit. This would include incoming and outgoing document control as well.
You will develop positive relationships with customers and participate in knowledge sharing across team and locations. Additionally, you will keep up to date with design trends/competitor awareness /design techniques.
What you'll need to succeed
BTEC HNC/ HND
Eligible to pass criteria for security clearance and airside pass applications.
Full UK Driving Licence
CSCS Card Holder - for site visits
High level of proficiency in the use of AutoCAD 2D and 3D software. Working knowledge of Autodesk REVIT
as a minimum.
Significant CAD experience preferably in the majority of the following market sectors: industrial, manufacturing
and energy, life sciences and chemicals, transport (rail and aviation), infrastructure and utilities, public sector,
Ability to produce 2D & 3D Architectural deliverables from concept through to fully co-ordinated detailed
Knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations
Knowledge of current UK technical standards/publications and legislation requirements
Knowledge of standard details and solutions, and compliance.
High level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software i.e. word, excel, etc.
