Senior Analogue IC Design Engineer
This Cambridgeshire based, multi-award-winning biotechnology company are looking for a Senior Analogue or Mixed Signal IC Design Engineer to join their multidiscipline R&D team of Engineers & Scientists. The Electronics Engineer / Analogue IC Design Engineer will play a key role in the development and subsequent commercialisation of the company's innovative new technology platform. This well-funded biotechnology start-up has a novel technology platform used for the fast, accurate and inexpensive extraction of genetic and epigenetic information from single molecules of DNA and RNA. The potential of this technology is huge. It will change the way we access genetic information giving access to vastly more detail than any other technology currently on the market.
The Mixed Signal / Analog IC design engineer will work with the company's multidisciplinary team and OEM partners to develop the company's technology platform. They will be responsible for the full development lifecycle -specifically the design, layout, verification and test of advanced mixed-signal integrated circuits. The ICs implemented will include: advanced ADC's (high speed and /or high resolution), low noise voltage references, low noise and low-pressure amplifiers, CT and DT filters, highly accurate CMOS temperature sensors and device control systems.

Requirements - Senior Analogue IC design Engineer (integrated circuits)
- A Masters (MPhys / MEng) in Physics, Electronics Engineering, or similar.
- The design of high performance ADC's, including high-order over sampling and fast Nyquist-rate architecture
- The design of low-noise amplifiers / LNA's
- The design of a precise front-end readout with advanced ultra-low power consumption mixed signal processing modes
- The design of discrete-time filters using Matlab carried through to silicon level using switched-capacitor architectures
- Requirement capture and IC/macro architectures & specifications
- Writing specifications for digital cells
- Cadence tools (Spectre, AMS, Ocean, Assura etc)
Role - Senior Analogue IC Design Engineer
Salary - totally negotiable but we anticipate £40-70K based on experience + pre-IPO shares and extensive benefits including relocation assistance if required.
