Main purpose of role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference. In this role where you will increase tenancy success amongst high risk residents through the provision of a time-bound, holistic, advice and advocacy service to Hyde's residents who are at risk of tenancy failure. You will be leading a team of specialist advisors who work to keep people in their homes when their circumstances and needs are complex.
Essential skills and requirements:
You will be the organisation subject lead on complex tenancy sustainment case management, and will need to have experience of dealing with hoarding, mental health issues, substance misuse and other challenges facing our residents.
You will be leading, supervising and supporting a team of advisors, and work directly with our most vulnerable and high-risk residents in partnership with housing management teams and external agencies. You will be the main point of contact for specialist intervention partner agencies and voluntary providers to ensure appropriate support is sourced and sustained.
You will identify key support needs that may create challenges for the residents' ability to sustain their tenancy. You will have excellent record-keeping and monitoring skills, and be able to quality assure own and others work to industry- and organisational standards.
You will have a fantastic team of colleagues in the organisation, but be expected to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision.
Ability to develop relationships and managing internal and external customers to achieve tailored outcomes for residents/clients is paramount.
You will be a great communicator and demonstrate resilience and determination. You will be a confident user of IT and have excellent writing skills. A background in housing is desirable but not essential; however experience working in a supervisory capacity with clients with complex needs is needed.
