Job Location: Poole, Dorset

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 DOE

Hours: 8am - 5pm Monday - Thursday with a 4pm finish on Friday + free parking

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Administrator to work with a leading company who design, manufacture and supply products to both the B2C & B2B market.

This well-known company have been established over 35 years and pride themselves on their wide range of high quality and in demand products they have to offer and are now seeking a Senior Administrator to support the National Account Manager with ensuring customer quotations / samples are processed and despatched smoothly.

This is a busy and varied position where you’re key responsibilities will include; data analysis (pricing, quality, lead-times etc.) liaising and negotiating with Far East suppliers / factories, organising and coordinating customer samples / quotations / orders as well as providing first class customer service.

This position would suit an individual with excellent coordination skills and the ability to work calmly within a fast paced environment as you will be responsible for carrying out many essential duties which contribute to the smooth running of customer orders.

Key responsibilities within this role will include:

  • Working closely with the National Account Manager to ensure the smooth running of projects.
  • Communicate clearly with Product Designers and Account Managers to ensure factories are correctly briefed about costings and customer specifications.
  • Requesting and scheduling quotations / samples with factories whilst constantly chasing order progress via telephone, email and video calls.
  • Negotiating with suppliers to achieve the lowest costs but best quality products for the business.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and factories.
  • Effective data management including input, accuracy and maintenance of complete pricing and factory data within project timescales.
  • Managing spreadsheet trackers ensuring they are kept updated on a regular basis for easy reference for the Account Managers.
  • Ensure the correct procedures are followed to ensure the smooth operation of product design and ordering process.
  • Being responsible for compiling data, analysing and generating accurate reports which reflect lead times, product quality, average orders, success rates, pricing and supplier information.

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Previous experience either within a similar or purchasing / analyst / coordinator position
  • Excellent coordination and organisation skills
  • Strong data analysis, reporting and administration skills
  • A hands on positive attitude to work
  • Ability to multitask and work calmly in a fast paced environment
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft programmes including Excel
