A highly regarded organisation in Scotland have an exciting new job opportunity for a Qualified Accountant to join them as Senior Accountant within their busy finance team to fulfil an initial contract with a view to being made permanent

Your new role

Working within a small team you will provide ongoing support to the Finance Business Partner.

Main responsibilities will include statutory accounting and reporting, adapting to relevant standards and guidelines, as well as being involved in variance analyses, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.

Furthermore you will liaise closely with internal and external contacts, and will be equipped to respond to issues effectively and in a timely manner, while ensuring best value requirements are met.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will; be a fully qualified accountant with experience of working in a similar role within Local Government.

Furthermore you will be a self-starter who demonstrates initiative, a results driven approach and a strong customer service ethos.
