  • A Senior Accountant is required at an exciting time for the organisation

Key responsibilities include:

  • Review morning reports and resolve any queries/errors arising
  • Process and approve payment requests of SSDL in accordance with authorisation table, clearing temporary receipts on daily basis for companies/sections
  • Review prepayments and accruals
  • Provide advice and support to business department and regional corporate department as required
  • Manage certain projects conducted by business department of SSDL for accurate accounting in appropriate period, communicating with business sections in timely manner
  • Coordinate with other members to prepare SCEU consolidated Revenue Recognition Gross/Net analysis on a quarterly basis
  • Conduct annual inventory revaluation
  • Respond to auditors requests and coordinate with other team members to ensure correct and relevant data is provided to auditors in a timely manner
  • Check Concur upload workbooks, help solving queries, resolving issues with concur interface
  • Perform credit card statement reconciliation and book relevant entries in SAP
  • Review fixed assets / banks/ sweep/ inventory reconciliation for SSDL prepared by a team member
  • Review all SSDL quarterly supplementary schedules prepared by a team member
  • Assist with external audit, manage SAP data for notes disclosure, address queries from auditors
  • Prepare inter-company reconciliation on a quarterly basis, investigate differences and request necessary corrections
  • Assist with coordination of tasks to be completed by SSDL team, with month end checks, reconciliations Balance Sheet, GTP and Profit & Loss review
  • Prepare and submit UK government statistics reporting

The Successful Applicant

  • Educated to degree level in Accounting
  • Passed all ACCA exams or qualified by experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Excel (pivot table)
  • Able to work under tight deadlines and multi-task
  • Able to travel within UK/Europe
  • Result-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality
  • Experience in the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Good understanding and application of IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Experience in using SAP
  • Working with multiple currencies
  • Experience of working in a multicultural business environment

What's on Offer

Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 per annum plus a generous benefits package.
