We are delighted to be working with a highly established and well regarded (global) business in Portsmouth to recruit a new Senior Account Executive. This position has arisen due to an increase in business and has created a brand new opportunity within this growing team.

Package:

  • Working Monday to Friday 9-5.30
  • Location: Portsmouth
  • Salary: circa £40,000 depending on experience
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Requirements for the position of Senior Account Executive:

Qualifications

  • Cert CII/ Dip CII/ Advanced Dip CII (Chartered Insurance Institute qualifications) desirable
  • Educated to degree standard or equivalent is desirable

Technical Knowledge

  • Robust knowledge of general insurance (London Market / Lloyd’s and Industry) products, services, classes of insurance including underlying legal principles and practices relating to risk within own role capacity

Experience

  • Strong client facing relationship management experience
  • Previous demonstrable experience in an Account Executive or Broker role, comfortable working to targets
  • Demonstrates innovative ideas based on Industry activities/trends
  • Tactical negotiation and influencing experience with internal/external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated rapport-building experience with internal/external stakeholders
  • Evidence of effectively prioritising risks to manage concurrent workflow
  • Identified potential problems and sought advice/consultation when required
  • Robust knowledge of client market and insurance industry network
  • Works to deadlines in accordance to TOM (Target Operating Model)
  • Able to quickly grasp and interpret salient information internal/external to maximise growth opportunities

Skills/other

  • Excellent client focus, including the ability to manage potentially contentious interactions with varying negotiation strategies
  • Good interpersonal skills, including listening, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the Company, including senior level management
  • Good presentation skills with experience interacting and presenting to colleagues/senior management
  • Problem-solving mind-set with the ability to develop creative approaches and solutions
  • Ability to interact comfortably with colleagues/senior level management
  • Forward planning approach
  • Highly motivated and results focussed
  • Highest degree of ethics and integrity in client focus
