Senior Account Director

Since 1997 this leading independent Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and Tourism PR agency have been delivering tailor made brand communication campaigns for some of the greatest global brands. With unrivalled experience, expertise and influence in their sector, their creative ideas drive communication strategies that ensure their clients stand out in a noisy market.

They are now looking for an Account Director or Senior Account Director, someone with good quality long-term PR experience and a real passion for PR.

Key responsibilities
  • Take overall responsibility for all account teams to ensure the pro-active development of public relations accounts to achieve individual targets set
  • Formulate and implement all agreed client PR strategies
  • Manage and support the PR account teams in the day-to-day running of client accounts
  • Liaise with clients on a daily basis and attend meetings and quarterly reviews as required
  • Proactively work with individual clients to ensure contracts are renewed, contracted hours are monitored and KPIs are achieved
  • Develop relationships with partners, stakeholders and sponsors to further develop client accounts
  • Manage the PR aspects of potential client crisis situations
  • Work with the Company Secretary to produce accurate client accounts - fee forecasts, spend, disbursements
  • Identify new areas of PR to further develop the business
  • Identify additional areas for income generation
  • Provide strategic direction for all new business tenders, pitches and proposals
  • Provide strategic direction for the organic growth of existing client accounts
  • Represent and be a voice for the company at industry events, seminars, exhibitions etc
  • Represent the company within key industry associations
  • Manage the recruitment process for all public relations team members
  • Manage the personal development plan and performance appraisal process for all public relations team members
  • Co-ordinate the training requirements for all team members
  • Undertake any other related or special tasks applicable to the post as required by the company Directors
Experience
  • Between 5 to 7 years PR agency or client side experience
  • Professional designation such as MPRCA or CIPR preferable
  • Experience of delivering new business presentations
  • Experience of both media and digital media relations
  • Ideally experience of travel & tourism or lifestyle accounts
