SENDCO Teaching Assistant

Monarch Education are working in partnership with a Primary School in the Central Birmingham area who are looking for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to start with them in April 2018. This role will be on a full-time basis until the end of the academic year working with SEND pupils across the primary phase.

In this role, you will be working closely with the school SENDCO and external agencies to ensure that all pupils individual needs are met and that they have access a personalised learning experience.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

*Working with small groups of identified/statemented children
*Working with Class Teachers to plan EHCPs for these pupils
*Leading extra-curricular activities and homework clubs
*Create assessments to record pupil data to track learning progress
*Working with a range of SEND such as Autism, MLD, ASD, complex needs and more
*Working with pupils to reintegrate them into the classroom setting
*Liaising with parents and carers about home learning and pupil progress
