A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Ealing is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a student with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The Role
In this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will be working on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who has SEMH needs.
Your role will include:
- Supporting the child to manage their emotions and build positive interactions with peers.
- Assist with classroom engagement and structured learning, ensuring the pupil remains focused and supported.
- Providing active support as the child may require assistance if they leave the classroom at times.
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, contributing to assessment and progress reporting.
The school is looking for a confident and experienced Teaching Assistant who has previously worked with children or adults with SEMH and SEND. You must be physically fit to support the child outside the classroom.
This role is full-time until the end of the academic year, with potential for extension in September.
