SEN Support Worker – 1:1 Intervention Worker – 1:1 Teaching Assistant

We are working with an OUTSTANDING Special Educational Needs school on a unique and inspiring role. We are looking for an experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant to work with individuals with Special Needs. This is a long-term role to start as soon as possible.

Are you an LSA or perhaps an SEN Teacher wanting an inspiring change?

About this role:
o Working 1:1 with a pupils with autism and social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
o These pupils are extremely bright but can also be extremely challenging in terms of behaviour.
o Adapting a hands on approach to all learning as this will not be a classroom job, you will need to be creative and practical in organizing activities.
o You will be required to work within a triangulated environment as this pupil works better with 3 members of staff rotating daily.
o Assisting with the development and implementation of behaviour plans.

The ideal Candidate:
o Will be knowledgeable in terms of working with Autism, SEN and Managing behaviour.
o You will need to calming and nurturing but strong when it comes to changes in behaviour
o Adaptable to any environment and able to use initiative.
o You will need to be able to commit to a 34 hour week, Monday to Friday.
o You will need to have a minimum Level 2 Qualification and experience is essential for this role.
