The starting salaries for this position are £31,273 per annum for the full time role (36 hours per week) and £15,636 per annum for the part time role (18 hours per week).

We are looking to appoint two enthusiastic and dedicated SEND Case Officers to work within our Education, Lifelong Learning and Culture Service. The service has undergone a rapid transformation, and we are looking for proactive individuals to join us in moving forward positively with continuous improvements, working towards robust and positive outcomes for some of our most vulnerable children and young people.

Our vacancies are:

1 x Fixed Term (10 months), Full Time (36 hours per week) SEND Case Officer

1 x Fixed Term (3 months), Part Time (18 hours per week) SEND Case Officer

On a day to day basis you will be working closely with families of Children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to ensure bespoke, holistic delivery plans are in place that best assist the child and their family to meet their needs. Your reflective nature and passionate approach will see you driving forward improvements which will be delivered through high quality work. You’ll be a clear and comprehensive communicator and through effective organisational skills you’ll ensure that we meet and look to push beyond our obligations.

To be shortlisted to interview for this position your application will clearly evidence:

  • Good knowledge of educational settings and a willingness to develop this further
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to write coherent reports
  • Passion and experience of working with vulnerable/young children.

The full time role is a 10-month Fixed Term contract and the part time role is a 3-month Fixed Term contract.

An enhanced DBS ‘Disclosure and Barring Service’ check for regulated activity (formerly known as CRB) and the Children’s and Adults’ Barred List checks will be required for this role.
