Job Opportunity: SENCO - SEN School - Full-Time - Short-Term - Start ASAP

A specialist SEN school is seeking a proactive and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join their team on a full-time, short-term basis, starting as soon as possible.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support a dedicated team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of pupils with a range of complex needs.

Role Overview

You will lead and manage the school's SEND provision, ensuring that pupils receive high-quality, tailored support. The role involves working closely with staff, families, and external agencies to coordinate interventions and maintain compliance with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage SEND provision across the school
  • Support staff in identifying and meeting pupils' needs
  • Coordinate and maintain EHCPs and related documentation
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals
  • Monitor pupil progress and lead on effective interventions
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to work towards it)
  • Experience working in SEN settings
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
