SENCO Specification

To be considered you must be a proven practitioner who is committed to equality of opportunity and ensuring that all children can succeed both academically and socially. You will be an experienced teacher who can understand the challenges of SEN practice and skilfully navigate your way out of difficult situations. You should be able to positively enforce best practice to colleagues and work well with the school's external partners.

About the SENCO role

In this SENCO post you will be managing the SEN team and ensuring best SEN teaching practice at all levels across the school. You will be liaising on a regular basis with outside agencies in order to promote inclusivity across the school. You will be managing the quality of nurture and intervention sessions for small groups of pupils with barriers to learning. There will the opportunities to work collaboratively with other local schools.
