Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs? Do you have the skills and empathy to make a real difference in the lives of young learners? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Tutor to join an SEMH School located in Sevenoaks.

This role will take place within the school outside the classroom; it is 5 days a week and a long-term position with an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities as a SEN Tutor:

  • Provide personalised 1:1 support to a student with SEMH needs
  • Develop and implement tailored learning strategies to support the student's academic, social, and emotional development
  • Create a safe and supportive environment to help the student manage challenging behaviours and emotions
  • Keep detailed records of the student's progress, challenges, and achievements

Requirements as a SEN Tutor:

  • Strong Maths and English skills
  • Previous experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach
  • Teaching qualification or relevant SEN training is desirable, but not essential
