SEN Teaching Assistants Required in Gloucestershire

Monarch Education are recruiting for staff members to work in a special school in Gloucestershire

This particular client has a variety of sites and they are currently looking for primary and Secondary teaching assistants to work with their students.

The School

* The school day runs from 08:40 - 15:30, with one day a week ending at 16:30
* The lesson times vary to suit each class
* The school caters for children from primary to post 16
* The students have a variety of needs including ASC, SLD, complex needs and challenging behaviour
* The school plans and delivers individual educational plans for each pupil
* Some of their key focuses for the pupil's education journeys are - Engagement, Communication, Social, emotional and personal development and Play
* The school runs regular sessions with outside agencies and professionals to benefit their pupils

The Candidate

* Must have at least 2 years experience of working with ASD/ SLD
* All candidates who work at this school need to have Team Teach
* will have strong communication and empathy skills
* Will be able to build rapport with pupils, parents and carers from a variety of backgrounds
* Will be flexible, adaptable and positive.

The Role

* Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and in small groups and following work plans provided
* Supporting pupils in class and following work plans provided
* Assisting educational and therapeutic professionals
* Candidates who remain at this school on a long-term basis may receive additional training, i.e. administering medication

Team Teach

* All candidates who work at this school need to have Team Teach.
