We at Academics are proud to be partnering with a progressive and inclusive Special Educational Needs school in Kempston, currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team this September.

SEN Teaching Assistant - Kempston | Education and Training Environment

Location: Kempston

Pay: £460 - £500 per week (term-time only)

Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time

About the SEN Teaching Assistant role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a variety of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication difficulties
  • Support learning both inside and outside the classroom, helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure tailored support and positive outcomes

This Role Would Suit:

  • An experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a fulfilling new opportunity
  • A Psychology graduate seeking hands-on experience before pursuing a career in Educational Psychology, Speech & Language Therapy, Teaching, or similar fields

  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • Excellent communication, patience, and a resilient, positive attitude
  • Ability to commute reliably to Kempston
  • Prior SEN experience is beneficial, but not essential - enthusiasm and dedication matter most!
