SEN Teaching Assistant – Gravesend, Kent

A primary in Gravesend are looking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 1 pupil with ASD.

*** SEN Teaching Assistant – supporting a Year 1 pupil with ASD

*** High academics including a 2:1 or better in your degree is required
*** Experience working with SEN children is essential for this SEN Teaching Assistant role
*** Daily rate of £60-£65
*** Immediate start as a SEN Teaching Assistant

The successful applicant for this SEN Teaching Assistant role will be a positive and personable graduate who has previous experience supporting children. The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will efficiently deal with any obstacles to learning and adapt to new situations with greater levels of responsibility. The chosen SEN Teaching Assistant must possess a true consideration for the welfare of pupils and incomparable relationship building skills. It is important for the school that they meet a SEN Teaching Assistant who will accelerate the child’s learning and growth so that they can feel proud of their progress and have the necessary skills to compete with their peers.

This SEN Teaching Assistant role will see the successful applicant working on a one-to-one basis with a Year 1 pupil who has been ASD statemented. It is important to note that when the pupil is not on site, the SEN Teaching Assistant will still be expected to support other SEN children in the classroom.

This two-form entry primary is in Gravesend, Kent. The school is in a more remote area of Gravesend and would therefore suit a driver. However, there is a reliable bus route available and staff at the school do tend to car share. The SLT at the school have a commitment to uphold the highest standards of academic achievements and pastoral care.
