Are you an experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant in the EBD sector? Are you confident and assertive with a passion for SEN?

Due to the number of new pupils enrolled for September a vacancy has arisen for an SEN TA to join an outstanding primary school in Birmingham.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience, but the Headteacher will consider graduates who are confident and enthusiastic, and looking for a career in primary education. The school is extremely well funded and has excellent facilities for which to help their pupils excel and integrate hopefully back into mainstream settings. You will be required to assist the classroom teacher with all aspects of education, working within groups and 1:1. There are a maximum of 8 pupils per class, 1 qualified teacher and 2-3 other TA’s.

The children come from a varied and mixed background and have found it hard to adapt within mainstream environments, some have Severe Learning Difficulties and complex needs, but all love learning and appreciate the support and guidance they are offered from the school.

This is truly a rewarding opportunity, but challenging at the same time. You need to be highly enthusiastic, unswerving and motivated and a great sense of humour.
