SEN Teaching Assistant- Psychology Graduates & Aspiring Teachers wanted - Dartford

Q - Are you a graduate, interested in working with mild SEN children?

Q - Are you looking for an academic year of experience, before committing to Teacher training or a Masters?

If you’ve said YES to both the above, we would love to hear from you! A large primary school in Dartford are searching for passionate and enthusiastic graduates, keen to get stuck in helping SEN children. The school can readily offer an academic year of experience as a Teaching Assistant, followed by a Salaried Schools Direct.

This year, both the Teaching Assistants we placed at the school have enjoyed their time and learn a lot and will be starting their Schools Direct training in September 2018. As such, as we now looking for two more Graduates to join the school as a Teaching Assistant, with the option of progressing to a Schools Direct the following year.

We are keen to find graduates that can support the whole class, as well as children on an individual basis as and when is needed. This will include working with ASD/ASC, ADHD, Dyslexia, GDD and MLD.

The school is incredibly supportive, so please don’t be deterred if you lack experience, as the school will invest their time and training into you, providing you are eager to learn! Read below before applying to this SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity.

Person Specification

  • Recent Graduate interested in Primary Teaching and SEN
  • 1st Class or 2:1 Degree
  • Creative, Enthusiastic and Resilient
  • Able to commit to the entire academic year
  • Strong academic background beneficial
  • Keen to get stuck in
  • Basic knowledge of SEN (ASD, Dyslexia, ADHD)
