To be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity you must have the following:
*1st or 2:1 degree - Russell Group (preferable) in a core subject subject
*A passion to support others
*Prior school, education or tutoring experience would be preferred
This SEN Teaching Assistant role would see you working under the guidance of the schools department heads, to support pupils in and out of the classroom. You should be able to display good communication skills as within this teaching assistant role you will have to liaise between both students and class teachers, have a patient manner and be proactive within the classroom.
You will be working mainly on a one-on-one basis providing support for children with learning difficulties and those who have fallen behind in a particular subject. You will need to display a motivational, engaging and patient manner throughout this role and be proactive to ensure the students are fully supported.
It would be advantageous if you have a core subject degree (English, maths, science or a humanities subject) from a Russell Group University and have earnt a 1st or 2:1. A passion to support others and a strong knowledge in your specialist subject are vital ingredients.
