The ideal candidate for this SEN Teaching Assistant position needs to demonstrate a supportive and enthusiastic nature combined with a real passion for education. You must have graduated with a 2:1 or higher in your degree and have a good academic background. You do not necessarily need school based experience however working with children in other environments is essential, ideally where you have used behavioural techniques. Those who are looking for a career in education are advised to apply!

The role would require you to work specifically with students who have additional behavioural needs, and require 1:1 support in the classroom to help them keep on task and fulfil their potential. Your specific degree will come in handy to specialise as you may also be able to run small intervention groups on literacy or numeracy topics, for those who may be struggling.
