Hays Education are working in partnership with a number of Primary Schools in the North Cotswold area and are looking for dedicated Teaching Assistant to work on a temporary day-to-day and long term/permanent supply basis. We have already placed a large number of Teaching Assistants staff into long term, contract and permanent roles so far this year and have various roles available for April. This is an excellent opportunity for those who are looking to develop or diversify their experience, or work on a flexible basis, as well as for those who are looking to secure a long-term/full time/permanent work.
Your role will be working to support the class teacher in creating a friendly and positive learning environment where pupils feel confident and challenged. You will be assisting with set up and running of all activities, preparing tools and resources for planned activities. You will support the children in the completion of tasks based around learning goals, encouraging them to achieve and will work as part of a team to create a safe, enjoyable learning environment for the children. You will also be working 1:1 with pupils who have an EHCP ranging from ASD, dyslexia, behaviour, cognition and learning, to name a few. Therefore previous experience of working with SEN is essential.
You will use your genuine nature and excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with the children and the class teacher. You will be proactive, and enthusiastic, using your skills and experience to enhance teaching and learning in line with Learn through play and Foundation Phase principles.
In order to apply you will need relevant experience, ideally in a classroom setting. You will also need to demonstrate strong communication skills, and an enthusiastic approach to tasks at hand.
