SEN Teaching Assistant – Hillingdon

A primary school in Hillingdon are looking to take on a new SEN Teaching Assistant to continue to provide enthusiasm and energy in the classroom.

This post requires a reliable and self-assured graduate who has achieved a second class degree or higher. Previous experience of working with SEN children is desirable, but not essential. This vacancy is open to a candidate who has a style of communication that is sympathetic and relevant to their audience. The portfolio of the successful SEN Teaching Assistant will include a truly compassionate nature and the calm demeanour to work with SEN pupils. The school are hoping for a SEN Teaching Assistant who is able to deal with challenging situations quickly and firmly, showing their classroom management skills, which is an important trait to have as a teacher.

In this SEN Teaching Assistant position you will be working both 1:1 with individual SEN pupils and also leading intervention classes with small groups. You will be supported and directed by an approachable SENCO who is renowned for having every pupil’s best interest a heart.
