SEN Teaching Assistant

The Lancashire Teaching Agency (LTA), are the partnership agency for Lancashire County Council, and we are working with a school to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant.

The SEN Teaching Assistant will be required to join the school ASAP, on a long term contract until July 2018, with the potential of the role leading into a permanent position. The role will be supporting Monday - Friday, approx. 20 hours per week.

The SEN Teaching Assistant will be required to work within a Lower KS2 class, supporting a pupil on a one to one basis. The pupil is working with an Individual Education Plan (IEP), to increase their learning, as they are currently working at a EYFS/KS1 level.

The ideal candidate will have recent experience and knowledge of supporting using the EYFS/KS1 curriculum.
Experience of working with MLD and/or Individual Education Plans previously, would also be a great advantage.
