We are working with a specialist provision and require ASD Support - working with learning disabilities in the Medway area. The learners are KS1-KS4. We would welcome anyone with a skillset of working with ASD and interested to transfer this into an education setting.

You will be working with special needs students on a 1:1 and small group basis.

This will be ideal for any passionate ASD Support - working with learning disabilities that can ensure students education and care is of a high standard.

As an ASD Support - working with learning disabilities you will ensure all students can thrive and fully develop their social, cognitive and emotional skills.

You must have a calming nature and a developed knowledge and understanding of the particular needs of the student.

Be able to actively promote and assist safe learning

Working alongside the teacher to be a role model and guide, to motivate and enable all students to achieve.

For this ASD Support - working with learning disabilities position it is ideal if you are:

qualified with a relevant Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certification and/or SEN qualifications but this is not essential.

Previous experience working with moderate to complex learning difficulties would be an advantage in any setting.

This ASD Support - working with learning disabilities post is full time (term time only)to start ASAP - July 2018 (with the possibility of continuing for the right candidate)

This post is subject to vetting including enhanced DBS and other safeguarding procedures.
