Are you a dynamic and pro-active Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic about working with young people with SEN? Can you utilise your passion to engage students that are disengaged from mainstream education? This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced TA looking for a new challenge to join a talented and supportive staff team in a special school based in Salford. This rewarding SEN Teaching Assistant position is available to start April 2018.

About the Role:
This Teaching Assistant position will involve supporting young people within the nurture group so experience in the area is beneficial. Students have Social Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH) and at times display challenging behaviour, so strong behaviour management and a positive attitude is essential. You will be required to be flexible with your approach adapting activities to suit the varied needs and abilities of individuals. You will be working closely with the class teacher, offering feedback on pupil progression and must work well within a team.

About the school:
This good special school caters for Primary aged pupils with a range of SEN including Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). They aim to provide suitable and interesting learning opportunities for all students in a positive and structured atmosphere.
