Monarch Education are working in partnership with a vibrant forward thinking Generic Secondary Special School. All pupils have a statement of special Educational needs and are aged between 11-19. The School vision is to work in partnership within a multi-disciplinary approach to meet the needs of all the young people in our school community.
If you have experience in supporting Pupils with Special Educational Needs in a school, specialist or care setting then this could be the role for you!
The school requires an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant who is:
*experienced supporting pupils with SEN; must have a strong understanding of how a pupil's need can be met
*confident managing challenging behaviour in the classroom and using de-escalation techniques. Team-Teach trained is not essential but would be a great advantage
*skilled working with pupils with communication difficulties; PECS training is advantageous but not essential
*able to demonstrate the impact you have had a child's progress and development
