A three-form entry Primary School in Brent are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated teaching assistant to join their Key Stage, One team. The successful applicant will be supporting a pupil who has been diagnosed with Autism and has an EHCP. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the child is happy and safe during their time in school whilst still learning and achieving in lessons. The right applicant for this role will be calm, caring, sensitive and understanding of the child's requirements. On a regular basis, you will liaise with the child's parents and work in collaboration to ensure the child is reaching set targets and is happy at school. As the child struggles during English lessons, teaching assistants with a passion and good knowledge of English will be favoured. English Graduates are encouraged to apply.

The school is a large Primary School in Brent that serves a diverse community with over 20 different languages spoken by staff, children and families. They currently admit pupils from Nursery to Year 6 with 90 pupils in each year group. The school pride themselves on their warm and caring ethos and have a strong reputation for this and for the way in which they celebrate each child's success and uniqueness. All staff work extremely hard and have a shared passion to build a better future for all pupils. The Senior Leadership Team are very successful and run a fun and happy school. Internal teacher training is provided for successful teaching assistants who wish to become teachers. Onsite parking is available for staff who wish to drive to school.
Requirements for the Role:
The school require a Teaching Assistant who has previous experience supporting pupils who have been diagnosed with Autism. Candidates who excellent English skills will be favoured as this where the child requires the most support. You must have at least 6 months' experience working in an educational setting.
Rate of Pay and Working hours:
£70-£80 per day, working hours of 08:30am - 4:00pm
You must have recent and a minimum of six months experience working in primary schools. This experience must be relative to this role. If you do not have this experience we unfortunately will not be able to continue with your application.
