SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary TA - Stockport
£56 - £70 per day
PK Education’s Manchester branch are working with a large Primary school in the Stockport area in order to recruit experienced and pro-active Teaching Assistant to work on a temporary basis.
This friendly Primary school in Stockport caters for around 550 children aged 2 to 11 and was graded ‘good’ by Ofsted. They are looking for energetic TA’s to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a one to one basis and small groups across various lessons. Pupils have a range of SEN including Social Emotional Behavioural difficulties (SEBD), Dyslexia and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). You will need a flexible approach adapting activities to suit the individual needs in order to help raise attainment, while following the school behaviour policy. You may also be required to assist the class teacher with resources or support students at play/lunch time.
You will be working alongside the supportive team to create a positive and safe learning environment for all students.
To be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant role you must have:
Experience supporting SEN students within a school setting.
Good literacy and numeracy skills, with knowledge across the Primary curriculum.
Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
Qualification in education or childcare (desirable although not essential)
Reference details will be requested prior to registration.
Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service – if you do not have a DBS registered online PK Education will provide full assistance in getting you one.
