SEN Teaching Assistant - PMLD School - Manchester

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching assistant who is looking for a new challenge? Have you worked with pupils with severe learning difficulties and profound and multiple learning difficulties?

Have you got knowledge and experience of using PECS or Makaton? Monarch Education are recruiting for an SEN teaching assistant to join a Primary PMLD school based in Whalley Range.

About the Role:

* PMLD Teaching Assistant/ Profound, multiple learning difficulties Support Assistant.
* You will be supporting pupils ranging from 2 to 11 years old with profound multiple learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties, autistic spectrum disorders, social, emotional and behavioural disorders including some with complex medical conditions.
* Long term contract with the possibility to go permanent for the right candidate
* Competitive daily rate

In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following:

* Eligible to work in the UK (must have a valid visa)
* Recent child based references with valid DBS/Police checks
* Have strong behaviour management skills

* Have proven experience working with children, minimum of 6 weeks.
* Have experience supporting pupils with special needs, particularly with social, emotional mental health
