I am looking for two experienced teaching assistants to join a 'good-outstanding' SEN school in North London. The school is an independent Orthodox Jewish school for both boys and girls aged 4-19 with a range of learning difficulties from moderate to severe and multiple learning difficulties.

The school has excellent transport links and is a short walk away from Golders Green underground station as well as having bus stops directly outside. The school currently facilitates a soft play area, outdoor play area and sensory rooms on site as well as having links with nearby schools in order to regularly access swimming pools and hydrotherapy pools. Currently in the process of becoming a Free School, it has a new larger building with a wider range of facilities on the horizon and so now is a perfect time to join the expanding school.

They are currently looking for someone to join a year 1/2 class and a mixed year 4/5 class as soon as possible. You would be working alongside 2 TA's and a class teacher in a class of 6 students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) helping to deliver a sensory curriculum. You would be required to work closely with teaching staff and in-house therapists and be able to follow individual plans for each student. Experience in working with students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) would be an advantage and you must be confident in undertaking personal care including hoisting feeding and changing - hoist trained applicants will be prioritised.
