Our client, a mainstream secondary school in Newham is currently looking for an SEN teaching assistant.
Your new company
This outstanding rated OFSTED secondary school is based in an ideal location close to a local train station. Due to maternity leave this position has become available on a temporary contract that has every possibility of turning into a full time position in the near future.
Your new role
You'll be working on a mostly one to one basis with a year 9 child with severe learning disabilities assisting them with general activities within the school. You will be heavily involved in developing the child's education and improving their key skills. As well as this you may also be asked to assist teachers with general duties around the classroom.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience as an SEN teaching assistant will be vital in this role. A caring nature and patient manner will be key in making you the perfect candidate for this position. You will be able to demonstrate examples of how you have dealt with similar situations from previous positions.
