This SEN Teaching Assistant position would suit an enthusiastic graduate with a minimum 2:2 degree. The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will possess caring qualities and ensure they always have a kind, nurturing approach. The chosen SEN Teaching Assistant will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal and most importantly will have the experience in delivering support to pupils who have specific needs. The school will be particularly interested in experienced SEN Teaching Assistants who are aware of the variations of learning and behavioural challenges in pupils and have a track record of successfully implementing positive approaches and techniques.

As the chosen SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working 1:1 with specific pupils and will play a lead role alongside the SENCO in developing both learning and behavioural plans. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will assist in all lessons with their key pupils, and will work hard to ensure they are always learning in a safe, positive environment.
