My client school in Harrow, West London is recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team this September. This role would perfectly suit an ambitious graduate who is looking to gain invaluable classroom based experience, working with pupils with Special Educational Needs.
You will be supporting a child with Autism 1:1 for part of the time and the remainder will be spent supporting children with a range of learning difficulties including Aspergers, ADHD and Speech and Language difficulties.

PAY: Paid £350 per week - Long Term Contract (School Year)
IDEAL PERSON: SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT
The ideal candidate for this role is a bright and dedicated graduate who has a keen interest in SEN and especially in ASD. You will be a Psychology graduate ideally, with a 2:1 or higher from a leading University. You will have a strong academic background, with good A Level results and GCSE’s (or equivalent) and will have a proven track record of success. You will be confident in your ability to succeed in the role and will have SEN experience under your belt already, ideally within the classroom.
JOB ROLE: SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT
The majority of your time will be spent supporting a year 4 boy with Autism, with the remainder spent with children with a variety of Special Educational Needs. If successful, you will join a well established support team who will give you guidance and help along the way. The school invests heavily in their staff and they are very inclusive. You will gain some fantastic experience here, working alongside fantastic SEN profssionals.
SCHOOL & TRAVEL:
The school is very modern, and has great facilities. They have sensory rooms within their specialist support centre. The school is In outer London but still has good transport links. They also have staff parking.
