SEN Teachers / ASD Teachers / PMLD Teachers - London Borough of Southwark
Engage Education are currently working with a special school in Harrow and require qualified SEN Teachers / ASD Teachers / PMLD Teachers for permanent positions.
About the role
This role will enable you to undertake the teaching of SEN students with Education Health and Care Plans, across the range of SEN needs and ages, and particularly those learners with Autistic Spectrum Disorders and other related conditions, as well as Supervise and guide the work of any support staff including Teaching Assistants (TAs) and Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs)
The ideal candidate will have experience of teaching children with special educational needs. Due to the nature of the students a patient, caring and compassionate approach is needed. We are looking for newly qualified teachers or those with more experience. Qualified teachers with an interest in moving into SEN are also encouraged to apply.
Recent experience and a genuine passion for teaching SEN pupils is desirable. All applicants will need to hold a current enhanced DBS and be fully compliant to work in the UK. To apply for a teaching position holding UK QTS is essential.
