SEN Teacher

Posted 4 January by Tradewind Recruitment Ended
We are currently working with a number of SEN schools across South Manchester, ranging from ASD, SLD, MLD, PMLD, who are looking to appoint SEN Teachers for a variety of day-to-day, short term and long term bookings.

Are you looking for a role that makes a positive impact on children with special needs? It takes a very special person to work with pupils with severe learning difficulties. Class sizes can be as small as 3/4 pupils and there is a high ratio of LSA support. Some children are non-verbal and therefore experience with Makaton would be beneficial.
You'll be working with other professionals within the school, e.g. a nurse, physiotherapist, speech and language therapist, etc.
The successful candidate:
*Should have knowledge/interest and experience working with Autism/ASD, ADHD, EBD, SLD, PMLD
*Be able to use positive reinforcement when supporting behaviour difficulties
*Be a patient and positive role model for children
*Holding a valid Team Teach Qualification will be advantageous.

Tradewind Recruitment are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We work alongside a variety of Special Educational Needs Schools and Pupil Referral Units. We provide day to day and long-term recruitment solutions for Teachers and Teaching Assistants.
We can always offer regular courses to our candidates which can support your teaching within SEN schools. For more information, please contact on the Manchester office on or email manchester @ twrecruitment . com
