Prospero Teaching is working with an Ofsted rated 'Good' special school. The school is located in Southwark and is looking for a Qualified Special needs Teacher to start in a long term position. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, passionate and Proactive. They will have a high level of experience with a range of different learning difficulties and specifically have experience with SLD, PMLD and autism.

The Special School provides education to children aged 11-19 years old. Any Special needs teacher selected for this role can expect to be working within the environment mentioned below -
All students at the school have a statement of educational needs for their severe learning difficulties or their profound and multiple learning difficulties. About a quarter of students also have a diagnosis of an autism spectrum disorder.
The school's work to keep pupils safe and secure is outstanding. Thorough school policies ensuring the safety of students are fully in place. These are very well known and understood by all staff. Leaders regularly check students' behaviour, safety and attendance at their alternative provision to ensure
that these are at least good.
The proportion of disabled students and those with special educational needs supported by school action is above national averages.

To be considered you will have:
*The ability to motivate pupils
*Passion for education and SEN specifically SLD and PMLD
*The capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team
*You can provide 2 teaching references within the last 2 years.
*You hold the right to work in the UK.
*You have a DBS or are willing to complete one.
*An innovator with drive and determination
Any experience with an SEN environment or eager to gain experience in one.
