I am looking for a Fully Qualified Teacher to work at special needs primary school in the Catford area from January 2018. You will be teaching a key stage 2 class, made up of 9 pupils across year 4, year 5 and year 6. They are a PMLD class with mixed, complex needs and are mostly verbal. Two students use wheelchairs and there are 4 teaching assistants in the class providing one to one support.
This position is a maternity cover and will last from January 2018 until at least July 2018. The school has a well-equipped, purpose built building boasting a sensory room, a dark room, a swimming pool for hydrotherapy, a safe space, a sensory garden, play spaces for all classes and individual work stations. Their latest Ofsted report from 2017 grades the school as 'outstanding’.
You will be required to plan, prepare and deliver lessons, as well as assessing and monitoring the children and reporting on their progress regularly. There is a supportive staff team who will ensure that you fit in smoothly and are successful in this role. You will be made to feel welcome by staff and students alike.
To apply for this role you must be available full time from January 2018 and have experience of teaching within an SEN school. You must have QTS for the UK and excellent references from previous employers.
All employees working through Teaching Personnel must hold a current DBS certificate, which is registered to the update service. If this is not the case, you will be required to apply for a new one as soon as possible.
