SEN Teacher Job - Caerphilly
Part time SEN Teacher needed for an Outstanding School in Caerphilly. Starting after Easter half term.
I am working in partnership with a fantastic SEN School in Caerphilly. The school caters for children between the ages of 3 - 18 years with a variety of needs including severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, ASD and emotional and behavioural difficulties.
I have been working in partnership with this school for a number of years and I am currently in the process of recruiting a Teacher to start after Easter half term. The school are looking for a Teacher to work on a part time basis initially before working on a full time basis across the school.
You will be working closely with the leadership team to support pupils with varying needs within classes of 3 - 7 children. Impairment levels of the pupils vary, it is therefore extremely important that you are able to develop rapport with pupils and an understanding of their individual needs. You will be responsible for ensuring that pupil's feel supported and encouraged and will deliver the curriculum with learning goals at the forefront. You will also direct the Teaching Assistant, who will work closely with you to enhance learning.
To apply for this position, you will need:
Qualified Teacher Status and EWC registration
Recent and relevant Teaching experience
Good behaviour management skills and the ability to effectively guide pupil behaviour
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - this will be important for building rapport with pupils, as well as staff members and parents
The ability to monitor pupil development and offer suggestions and feedback
