Servoca Education Resourcing is working with a number of primary schools located in Camden and Islington, North London who require experienced Teaching Assistants to work with children who have behavioural difficulties and autism. Schools in these 2 boroughs are perfectly located along the Northern and Piccadilly lines.
Primary schools in Haringey and Islington and mostly mainstream and therefore have pupils with a range of different learning difficulties such as; mild to moderate Autism, learning difficulties ADHD, SEMH and Aspergers. They are recruiting permanent staff members to start in September 2017and you will be joining schools that offer extensive training for their support staff and excellent facilities.
In these type of roles, you will be required to provide effective emotional, personal and social support to help develop social interaction skills. You will be a positive role model at all times and be able to support children aged 4-11 with class work including communication, language, literacy and numeracy.
To be considered for an interview you must hold a minimum of 6 months recent experienceworking with Special Education Needs, ideally Autism or challenging behaviour. The ideal applicant will also have formal training/ qualifications related to working with SEN. Desirable qualifications include:
* Team Teach
* Level (1 - 3) SEN Diploma
* Makaton/ PECS
Schools in the boroughs of Camden and Islington are suitably located along the Northern, Piccadilly and Victoria Lines making the easily accessible by public transport. There is also a lovely mix of primary schools ranging from small 1 form entry to 3 form entry providing you access to a range of schools to suit your needs.
