Early years SEN Teaching Assistant Specification

The school are looking for an ambitious graduate who has a degree at a 2:2 or Cache level 3 and already spent time in a role working closely with children. Ideally you will have experience or an understanding of SEN. You should have a natural desire to start your career in education and an enthusiastic personality. You should have the ability to put the needs of others first and always make yourself available. The school are hoping for a vibrant and energetic individual with creative flare who will fit in well with the friendly and hardworking team.

Details - TA Role

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant your role will involve you working in a reception class to support children with SEN including Global Delay, SEBD, ASD and Speech and Language needs. You will learn vital new skills through the guidance of a comprehensive CPD programme specifically developed to aid the progression of budding educators. To ensure you are settled, you will be communicating frequently with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator so both you and your pupils are getting the most out of your placement. Preferring to train their own new teachers, the SLT often keep on their most successful support staff for the rest of their training through the School Direct programme.
