Smart Teachers is recruiting for an SEN TA / SEN Teaching Assistant / Special Needs TA for an all-through SEN school based in Brent. The school caters for students with a range of needs including severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), and Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The SEN TA / SEN Teaching Assistant / Special Needs TA will be supporting students with a range of needs in KS1 and KS2. The successful SEN TA / SEN Teaching Assistant / Special Needs TA is to start as soon as possible with the opportunity for a long-term role for the right candidate.

  • Will be supporting students with a range of needs (ASD, SLD, PMLD) in KS1 and KS2
  • Must be comfortable with personal care
  • Daily rate starting from £65 (depending on experience)

In order to be considered for this role, the SEN TA / SEN Teaching Assistant / Special Needs TA will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Have recent classroom experience in the UK (minimum 6 weeks essential)
  • Previous experience working with students with SEN, ASD, MLD, SLD or PMLD
  • Must be comfortable with personal care
  • Have excellent communication skills as well as strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
  • Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
